A power distribution system for a home energy system has a configuration as illustrated in FIG. 15. In this system, a power generator and a substation control device are disposed at the power generation facility, and a distribution substation control device and a terminal device are provided for each residence.
The power generator and the substation control device are communicably connected through a power transmission line and a power line from the substation to the distribution substation. The distribution substation control device and the terminal device are communicably connected through a communication line. The power transmission line and the power line each include a power line main relay (PLR) for opening and closing a power line in response to a substation control device signal. The communication line includes a communication line main relay (CMR) for opening and closing a communication line in response to a distribution substation control device signal.
The power line main relay and the communication line main relay are connected to each other through a signal line. The power line main relay is adapted to open and close the power line main relay by receiving a signal from the power line main relay through the signal line. Similarly, the communication line main relay is adapted to open and close the communication line main relay by receiving a signal from the communication line main relay through the signal line.
